descriptionI received a bachelor degree in mechatronic engineering from the Universidad Autรณnoma de Occidente (Colombia) in 2007, a MSc degree in electrical engineering from the Universidade de Sao Paulo (Brazil) in 2010, and a PhD degree from the Australian Centre for Field Robotics, University of Sydney (Australia) in 2015. My research focuses on developing perception systems that are able to describe objects of interest in complex dynamic environments by exploiting the multi-modal nature of sensor data. My PhD thesis developed a framework for dynamic object perception in urban environments. In 2016 I joined Inria as a postdoctoral research associate within the CHROMA team where I continued working on developing technology for autonomous driving. Currently, I am a Lecturer and researcher at Universidad Autรณnoma de Occidente, my alma mater, where I teach robotics. I also lead a hotbed of research in robotics, with an special emphasis in robotic perception.
